Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Backend Developer to join our team in Munich. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust and efficient software solutions for our edge devices and restaurant servers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement software solutions for our edge devices and restaurant servers using Python and its frameworks
  • Collaborate with our Machine Learning engineers to create and maintain a robust and efficient runtime environment for our Computer Vision algorithms and object detection and classification models
  • Interface our systems with third-party devices, such as kitchen equipment and POS systems
  • Connect our systems to customer-specific UIs and log operator feedback
  • Design and implement robust and efficient loggers for image, video, and process data to contribute to our data lakes for AI training purposes
  • Test our systems hands-on with our demo setups/replicas within our facilities
  • Monitor our systems at our customers' while we are scaling from pilot projects to rollouts spanning thousands of restaurants
Requirements
  • At least 3+ years of professional experience in Python and its important frameworks and modules, such as pytest, Flask, Django, requests, and asyncio
  • A strong passion for IoT and AI-based software development
  • Linux OS and networking fundamentals
  • Message queues like Kafka, Redis, MQTT, or ZeroMQ and event-driven systems
  • Database design for MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or InfluxDB
  • Knowledge of Docker/Podman is an advantage
