Electronic Design Engineer

At Gixel, we are dedicated to pioneering and crafting an innovative augmented reality experience. We seek talented and driven Electronic Design Engineers to enhance our hardware division. Depending on your skills and enthusiasm, you may engage in various domains including:

Design of analogue and digital circuits, including motor drive circuits, power distribution, sensor integration, and embedded systems.
High-speed PCB/FPC design with mixed-signal capabilities.
Development of embedded firmware.
Real-time digital signal processing tasks.

You will be involved in the complete product development lifecycle, from concept through design, development, and integration of electrical components or systems. Collaboration across functions will be essential to establish specifications and testing methodologies, conduct performance assessments, and liaise with manufacturing partners for prototyping and large-scale production.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and define electronic systems for the next generation of AR technology.
Set engineering specifications, including critical performance indicators, testing methods, and requirements for the electronic systems.
Collaborate with a diverse team, including optical design, mechanical engineering, and design, to advance new technologies for electronic systems.
Conduct evaluations and prototypes in the laboratory while managing supplier selection and communication.
Lead the development process to scale for high-volume manufacturing.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Master’s degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, physics, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
Proficient in ECAD tools, particularly Altium Designer.
Solid understanding of electronics standards and processes.
Programming skills in Python, Matlab, or C/C++.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in embedded system design, especially with STM32 microcontrollers.
Prototyping skills, including 3D printing and soldering.
Background in consumer electronics.
