Senior Electronics Design Engineer

At Gixel, we are dedicated to pioneering, innovating, and crafting a groundbreaking augmented reality experience. We seek talented and driven Electronics Design Engineers to enhance our hardware division. Depending on your skills and enthusiasm, you may engage in one or more of the following domains:

Design of analogue and digital circuits, including motor drive circuits, power management, sensor integration, and embedded systems.
High-speed PCB/FPC design with mixed-signal capabilities.
Development of embedded firmware.
Digital signal processing in real-time applications.

You will be involved in the comprehensive product development lifecycle, encompassing concept creation, design, development, and integration of electrical components or systems. Collaboration across functions will be essential to establish specifications and testing methodologies, conduct performance assessments, and liaise closely with manufacturing partners for prototyping and large-scale production.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and define electronic systems for the next generation of AR technology.
Develop engineering specifications, including essential performance metrics, testing methods, and requirements for electronic systems.
Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals, including optical design specialists and mechanical engineers, to innovate and refine new technologies for electronic systems.
Conduct evaluations and prototyping in the laboratory while managing supplier selection and communication.
Lead the transition of developments to high-volume manufacturing.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Master’s degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, physics, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
Extensive experience with ECAD tools, particularly Altium Designer.
Solid understanding of electronics standards and processes.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Matlab, or C/C++.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in embedded system design, particularly with STM32 microcontrollers.
Prototyping skills, including 3D printing and soldering.
Familiarity with consumer electronics.
