Your Role

Here’s what awaits you on your journey with us:

  • Leadership of the IT team onboard
  • Accountability for the efficient and professional operation of all IT networks and systems onboard, including internet services, onboard portals, multimedia platforms, the IT component of the V-Sat system, servers, databases, networks, hardware, and accessories
  • Independent maintenance, servicing, and repair of all IT elements present onboard
  • Administration of the Microsoft-based IT infrastructure, including ship communication (SatComm – TV / data / internet) and virtualization environments
  • Internal IT support services; assisting all departments (Hotel and Deck & Engine) with any uncertainties
  • Resolving issues and outages in the IT sector
  • Setup and operation of check-in stations during passenger transitions
  • Initial contract duration: 4 months, with potential for subsequent contracts

Your Skills & Qualifications

What you bring onboard:

  • Qualified education in the IT field with at least 2 years of professional experience, preferably on a cruise ship.
  • Business acumen, budget management skills, and the ability to present and analyze economic objectives
  • Proficient in both German and English (spoken and written)
  • Strong service orientation
  • Assertiveness, flexibility, and organizational skills
  • Confident and professional demeanor with good interpersonal skills
