We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Film Editing Assistant. As a key member of our post-production team, you will assist our editors in managing our editing facilities, creating trailers and excerpts, and coordinating test screenings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist editors in managing editing facilities and coordinating test screenings
- Create trailers and excerpts for film releases
- Coordinate with the marketing team to create promotional materials
- Update and maintain the test screening audience database
- Prepare transcripts of discussions following test screenings
- Deliver film elements to distributors and assist with the restoration process
- Create and review subtitles and dialogue lists
Requirements:
- Native or fluent English speaker with excellent command of German and/or French
- Cinephile with interest in film analysis and ability to formalize ideas
- Capable of synthesizing ideas in written form
- Flexible to work outside regular business hours and apt to deal with tight deadlines and stress
- Apt to self-manage, prioritize, and accomplish different tasks simultaneously
- Proficient with AVID, Premiere, and After Effect; experience with DaVinci Resolve and/or Final Cut Pro is a plus
- Able to demonstrate experience in the film industry and interest in how a film sales company functions
