We are looking for a seasoned and skilled Lead Data Infrastructure Engineer (f/m/x) to join our team. In this position, you will be tasked with designing, implementing, and maintaining the essential infrastructure and tools for our cloud-based data platform. Your role will involve leading a team and collaborating closely with data engineers, analysts, cross-functional teams, and various stakeholders to ensure our data platform aligns with organizational needs and supports our data-driven strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the DB Corporate Bank Data Services team by assisting our Data Tribe in delivering data platform solutions.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and dependable data infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
- Develop and manage data pipelines to ingest, process, and store data from diverse sources into the cloud data platform.
- Enhance data storage and retrieval processes for optimal performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and analysts to comprehend their requirements and provide effective solutions for data analysis and insights.
- Implement best practices for monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring overall observability of data platform issues, maintaining solution resiliency and high availability.
- Stay informed about the latest cloud technologies and data engineering best practices, recommending enhancements to our data platform architecture and processes.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize tasks, and deliver projects within established timelines and budgets.
- Document data platform architecture, processes, and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based infrastructure, particularly for data platforms.
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including compute, storage, networking, and security services (with a focus on GCP).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies including Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, and Apache Kafka.
- Familiarity with database systems such as BigQuery, BigLake, Hive, Impala, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL databases.
- Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools like Apache Airflow and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Knowledge of data management and cloud security best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
