Student Retention Advisor for Adult Programs

The Retention Coordinator will oversee the organization, execution, and monitoring of instructional activities and performance improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
1)
Delivering in-person instruction for adult learners and preparing educational materials. 2) Implementing progress assessments and providing regular updates. 3) Supporting the evaluation process. 4) Participating in team meetings and professional development sessions. 5) Organizing and administering all student assessments. 6) Engaging with identified at-risk learners to identify and address their challenges and needs. 7) Reporting and managing test data, including entry into relevant systems. 8) Connecting at-risk learners with campus resources and community partners to help remove barriers to success. 9) Offering support and training to instructors regarding test score analysis; tracking recruitment strategies to identify effective practices.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of a high school diploma is required, with an Associate's degree preferred. Preference will be given to candidates who are bilingual (Spanish). Reliable transportation within the designated area is necessary.
QUALITIES OF SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES:
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities. Capacity to convey information effectively to key stakeholders. Commitment to providing outstanding customer service. Familiarity with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and its relevance to the department. Strong computer proficiency. Effective time management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Adobe InDesign and Internet navigation. Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Capability to work independently while utilizing effective public relations skills with minimal supervision. Skill in establishing and maintaining collaborative and productive working relationships. Ability to assess situations accurately and implement effective solutions. Competence in meeting deadlines and timelines. Proficiency in planning and organizing work.
