Lead Observability Solutions Engineer

Role Overview:
As a Senior Observability Enablement Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our observability practices and empowering product teams with the necessary tools and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct and facilitate observability workshops to gather requirements and assist in service decomposition with various product teams.
  • Integrate new data sources with New Relic, identifying automation needs to promote self-service capabilities and scalable adoption.
  • Create and manage reusable monitoring solutions for fundamental observability, while guiding product teams in crafting their tailored advanced monitoring setups.
  • Collaborate closely with the Business Product Owner to devise an adoption strategy, including deployment phases and timelines, ensuring effective execution.
  • Empower product teams by disseminating best practices and conducting training sessions.
  • Continuously refine training and enablement materials in partnership with the Empowerment Lead to enhance training effectiveness.
  • Establish self-service monitoring capabilities, enabling users to onboard their specific use cases independently.
Candidate Profile:
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing monitoring and observability solutions, preferably with New Relic, utilizing leading market technologies.
  • In-depth understanding of monitoring and observability functionalities.
  • Strong grasp of IT operations requirements, particularly within a DevOps context.
  • Technical expertise in cloud-native technologies and interfaces.
  • Hands-on experience with programming, APIs, and GitOps, particularly in Python.
  • Experience in large-scale deployment and management is advantageous.
  • Fluency in English, with proficiency in German being a significant plus.
  • Exceptional service orientation and effective communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
