About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled research intern to join our advanced robotics team at ZEISS Group. As a research intern, you will have the opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and application, driving innovation in medical robotics, augmented reality, and computer vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and development in medical robotics, augmented reality, and computer vision to solve real-world healthcare challenges.
  • Collaborate with our team of computer science researchers and application experts to design and implement cutting-edge technologies.
  • Develop and implement proof-of-principle lab demonstrators to showcase your ideas.
  • Evaluate your solutions through simulation and hands-on testing with product managers and medical doctors.
  • Present and discuss your results in our team and department meetings.

About You

We are looking for a research intern who is:

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in engineering or natural science.
  • Fluent in one or more general-purpose coding languages, such as Python, C#, or C++.
  • Experienced in AR/VR/XR, robotics, computer vision, deep learning, or computer graphics.
  • Thrilled to apply your technology skills to real-world problem-solving.
  • Creative, innovative, motivated, and well-organized.
  • A good communicator in German and/or English.
