Your Role

Embark on a cutting-edge research journey at ZEISS, where technology meets application. Our advanced robotics team seeks talented students to collaborate on innovative health tech solutions. As a research scientist, you will pioneer intelligent robotics, augmented reality, and computer vision to tackle real-world healthcare challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research in robotics, augmented reality, and computer vision to develop novel solutions for healthcare challenges
  • Collaborate with a small international team of computer science researchers and application experts
  • Implement technologies into proof-of-principle lab demonstrators to showcase your ideas
  • Evaluate your solutions through simulation and hands-on testing with product managers and medical doctors
  • Present and discuss your results in team and department meetings

Your Profile

We are looking for a research internship or Master's thesis candidate with a strong background in engineering or natural science. Key qualifications include:

  • Fluency in one or more general-purpose coding languages, e.g., Python, C#, C++
  • Experience in AR/VR/XR, robotics, computer vision/deep learning, computer graphics
  • Creative, innovative, motivated, and well-organized
  • Good communication skills in German and/or English
