Bicycle Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Bicycle Mechanic to join our team at Zoomo. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring the highest quality of our electric bikes, and maintaining our store's appearance and organization.
Key Responsibilities- Provide accurate product information and answer customer inquiries about our e-bikes, pricing, and after-sales services.
- Build, repair, and service bikes to the highest standards, including diagnosing required services, fault-finding, and performing mechanic repairs to ensure our e-bikes are safe and fully operational.
- Support our efforts to recover lost and stolen bikes.
- Ensure our riders have an excellent in-person support experience, including walking them through the onboarding process and troubleshooting any issues they encounter.
- Meet store sales targets in collaboration with the rest of the team.
- Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Maintain store H&S compliance and housekeeping standards, including visual marketing and merchandising of the store.
- Improve brand awareness and support marketing activities to grow our customer base.
- Proven work experience as a (Bike) Mechanic or similar role.
- Strong communication skills to make customers feel welcome and provide excellent customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Professional or personal experience in a technical field, preferably repairing bicycles, motorbikes, e-mopeds, or cars.
- Familiarity with consumer behavior principles and the ability to diffuse heated situations.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Interest and knowledge in mobility, micro-mobility, or e-bikes.
- Ability to quickly and efficiently problem-solve and troubleshoot.
- Strong organization skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- European driver's license required.
- Fluent communicator in English/German (B2 or higher) and any other language, such as Hindi, considered a plus.
- A competitive salary of 14€-15€ per hour, depending on experience.
- Contribution to public transport and budget for personal tools/hardware.
