In your position as a (Junior) Consultant in the field of Audit / ESG Assurance / Sustainability Reporting, you will evaluate the sustainability reports of our clients and guide them towards the future of sustainability reporting. This role allows you to contribute to a significant societal mission and build trust in the increasingly important ESG metrics and information.
Your Responsibilities
If sustainability is not just a trend for you, but you aspire to make a tangible contribution to transparency in reporting and collaborate with companies to tackle future challenges, then this role is for you.
- You will assist in the evaluation of sustainability information from large, internationally oriented corporations, examining exciting topics such as carbon emissions, circular economy metrics, or management concepts related to diversity and inclusion.
- You will support our clients in the operational implementation of the exciting regulatory requirements stemming from the EU Taxonomy or the Corporate Sustainability Directive (CSRD), aiding them on their journey towards integrated reporting of financial and ESG information.
- You will independently carry out tasks in audit projects and communicate with our clients, maintaining close collaboration with various departments within the client organizations and working alongside colleagues from other KPMG divisions—both nationally and internationally.
- In your evaluations, you will employ an innovative and digital auditing approach, continuously developing the future of auditing in collaboration with your team.
Your Profile
To become a (Junior) Consultant in the field of Audit / ESG Assurance / Sustainability Reporting, you should possess a strong academic background in business administration, industrial engineering, business informatics, natural sciences, environmental sciences, or law.
- Ideally, you have gained knowledge in auditing, sustainability management, corporate reporting, investor relations, or finance and accounting/controlling through your studies or initial practical experiences.
- You may have foundational knowledge of common standards and requirements in non-financial reporting (e.g., GRI, TCFD, NFRD, UN Guiding Principles on Human Rights, or EU Taxonomy) or financial reporting (IFRS, HGB, US-GAAP).
- You are eager to contribute to societal well-being, build trust, and continuously develop yourself and your surroundings.
- Your strengths include a quick grasp of concepts, a strong affinity for numbers, and a structured working style. Additionally, you are a true team player.
- Proficiency in standard MS Office applications (especially PowerPoint and Excel) is expected.
- You possess fluent German or English language skills at C1 level and demonstrate the necessary flexibility required in the auditing and consulting environment.
