Daily Responsibilities
The Senior Project Coordinator in the Sustainable Energy Solutions division is responsible for the design, development, and management of customer solution initiatives, adhering to established Project Management (PM) standards and client specifications, with comprehensive accountability for financial outcomes, quality assurance, scheduling, and environmental health and safety (EHS).

Key Contributions

Assumes overall accountability for project outcomes, including budget management, financial risk assessment, opportunity identification, claims management, scheduling, and EHS compliance. Guides the project team by mentoring members, assigning tasks, fostering professional growth, and cultivating a culture that prioritizes safety, compliance, and adherence to Siemens Energy Business Conduct Guidelines. Oversees the project from inception to final acceptance (FAC), ensuring effective planning, contract management, integration of technical solutions, documentation, handover processes, testing, and conducting regular meetings while meeting budgetary and timeline objectives. Acts as a consultative resource for customer requirements, managing expectations, advising on technical solutions in collaboration with the sales team, clarifying client goals during the RFP process, and leading communication on significant project milestones. Engages in strategic development of target agreements in partnership with business stakeholders and represents the project portfolio in relevant forums. Holds responsibility for comprehensive project financial targets, including proposal costs, regulatory compliance, and minimizing non-conformance costs and risks. Fosters positive relationships with partners through effective communication, leading impact assessments, and resolving challenges. Negotiates contracts, change orders, and design packages in collaboration with stakeholders. Evaluates, analyzes, and manages risks and claims for projects within the category C portfolio, strategically leading efforts to mitigate potential issues.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (or a related field) is required; an advanced degree is preferred. Extensive experience in a blend of technical engineering and project management roles on mid to large-scale projects, with full accountability for project outcomes. Proven experience in leading and developing project teams, including project managers and engineers. In-depth knowledge of commercial and contractual terms relevant to mid and large-scale projects, with proficiency in negotiation. Specialized expertise in risk management throughout the project lifecycle, with experience in claims and quality review processes. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer-sponsored work authorization. Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of German is advantageous, along with a willingness to travel internationally (approximately 20%).
