A Glimpse into Your Responsibilities

The Senior Project Coordinator within the Sustainable Energy Solutions division is tasked with designing, developing, and steering customer solution initiatives, adhering to established Project Management (PM) standards and client specifications, while maintaining comprehensive accountability for financial outcomes, quality assurance, timelines, and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) protocols.

Key Contributions

  • Assume overall accountability for project outcomes, encompassing budget management, financial risk assessment, opportunity identification, claims handling, scheduling, and EHS compliance.
  • Guide the project team by fostering team member development, delegating responsibilities, and nurturing a culture that prioritizes safety, compliance, and adherence to Siemens Energy Business Conduct Guidelines.
  • Oversee the project from inception to final acceptance (FAC), ensuring meticulous planning, contract management, integration of technical solutions, thorough documentation, effective handover, testing, and conducting regular meetings while adhering to budgetary and timeline expectations.
  • Act as a consultative partner regarding client needs, managing expectations, advising on technical solutions in collaboration with the sales team, clarifying client objectives during the RFP process, and leading communication on significant project milestones.
  • Strategically develop target agreements in collaboration with business partners and represent the project portfolio in relevant forums.
  • Take ownership of comprehensive project financial targets, including proposal costs, regulatory compliance, and minimizing non-conformance costs and risks.
  • Foster positive relationships with stakeholders through effective communication, conducting impact assessments, and navigating challenges.
  • Negotiate contracts, change orders, and design packages in alignment with stakeholder engagement.
  • Evaluate, analyze, and manage risks and claims for projects within the category C portfolio, leading proactive mitigation strategies.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (or a related field) is required, with a preference for an advanced degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Extensive experience in a blend of technical engineering and project management roles on mid to large-scale projects, with a proven track record of overseeing comprehensive project outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing project teams, including project managers and engineers.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial and contractual terms pertinent to mid and large-scale projects, with proficiency in negotiation.
  • Specialized expertise in risk management throughout the project lifecycle, including experience in leading claims and quality reviews.
  • Candidates must possess legal authorization for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
  • Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of German is advantageous, along with a willingness to travel internationally (approximately 20%).
