Professor for Media Informatics with a focus on XR and Games Engineering

Job Opportunity at Hochschule Augsburg
We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our faculty as a Professor for Media Informatics with a focus on XR and Games Engineering. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of our interdisciplinary degree programs in Interactive Media and Interactive Media Systems.
Responsibilities:
- Teach and develop courses in Media Informatics, XR, and Games Engineering, as well as basic courses in the Faculty of Computer Science, in German and English.
- Participate in the further development of the department and contribute to the creation of digital learning formats.
- Assist in the administration of academic affairs and participate in applied research projects.
- Transfer knowledge and technology to industry partners and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.
Requirements:
- A university degree in Computer Science or a related field, with excellent academic achievements and a doctoral degree or equivalent qualification.
- Professional technical competence and experience in XR, game development, or related fields, with a minimum of five years of work experience.
- Aptitude for teaching and the ability to engage in interdisciplinary work and the use of modern teaching methods.
- Experience in technical development of entertaining and/or educational games, as well as experience in procurement of third-party funds and implementation of research projects, is desired.
- An innovative, communicative, team-minded, and solution-oriented personality.
