Rust Software Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Rust software engineer to join our team at Veecle GmbH. As a key member of our development team, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing the next generation of operating systems for the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the operating system, distributed runtime, and middleware for safety-critical domains, especially automotive
  • Design and implement supporting tools, such as test scripts
  • Collaborate with the core team to design, implement, and test all aspects of the OS, from low-level driver interfaces to high-level safe APIs
  • Document and maintain the repository
  • Write unit tests, integration tests, regression tests, and virtual hardware tests
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of system software, including drivers, inter-process communication, and threads
  • At least 2 years of software development experience in Rust
  • Understanding of security principles (authenticity, digital certificates, trusted channels) is welcome
  • Problem-solving skills: Ability to conceptualize and communicate solutions to problems
  • Autonomous, self-motivated, independent, and proactive
  • Fluent in English (our internal communication language)
