Expedient Import Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Expedient Import Specialist to join our team at LOGISTIC PEOPLE (Deutschland) GmbH. As a key member of our global logistics team, you will be responsible for the operational handling of incoming sea freight shipments, managing customer relationships, and ensuring seamless logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Handling: Manage the receipt, processing, and delivery of incoming sea freight shipments, ensuring timely and accurate handling.
- Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, agents, and other stakeholders to ensure excellent service and communication.
- Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure efficient and effective logistics operations.
- Documentation and Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely documentation, including customs clearance and other regulatory requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and quality.
Requirements:
- Education: Completed apprenticeship or degree in a related field, such as logistics or supply chain management.
- Experience: Proven experience in sea freight import operations, with a strong understanding of logistics processes and procedures.
- Language Skills: Fluent English language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in logistics software, such as CargoWise and C1, is an advantage.
- Personal Qualities: Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
