We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Operations Engineer to join our team at FLOYT Mobility GmbH. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cloud infrastructure and hybrid IT architecture.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Implement Cloud Infrastructure: Collaborate with our development and architecture teams to create solutions for a hybrid IT architecture, including the migration of existing services to Public Cloud providers (primarily AWS).
- Support Development Teams: Provide expertise to our development teams in migrating existing services and creating new services on Public Cloud providers (primarily AWS).
- Operate and Maintain Public Cloud Components: Design, create, operate, and maintain Public Cloud components for our services and databases.
- Maintain On-Premise Infrastructure: Maintain on-premise infrastructure, including servers and network switches.
- Establish Monitoring and Alerting Systems: Establish a comprehensive monitoring and alerting system to ensure the health and performance of our cloud infrastructure.
- Optimize Resources and Costs: Continuously optimize resources, services, and costs to ensure the most efficient use of our cloud infrastructure.
- Experience in Cloud Infrastructure: Experience in provisioning, monitoring, and operating infrastructure in AWS and hybrid environments.
- Successful Project Experience: At least one successful established project in AWS Cloud in your near past.
- Strong Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of maintaining Linux systems and services, network devices, and Linux and network protocols (HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP).
- Cloud Management Tools: Experience in using Terraform (and Terragrunt desirable).
- Team Player: A 'team player' attitude and willingness to become an ops expert in a Scrum development team.
- Language Skills: Good English Skills, as this is our team language.
- Desirable Skills: Organizational Information security skills (NIS-2, ISO-27001) and knowledge of Azure and GCP provisioning & experience in Kubernetes.
