Job Title: Senior Ops Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Ops Engineer to join our team at FLOYT Mobility GmbH. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for designing, creating, operating, and maintaining our Public Cloud components for our services and databases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement hybrid IT architectures, collaborating with our development and architecture teams.
  • Support our development teams in migrating existing services and creating new services on Public Cloud providers (primarily AWS).
  • Develop and maintain Public Cloud components for our services and databases.
  • Maintain on-premise infrastructure, including servers and network switches.
  • Establish a comprehensive monitoring and alerting system.
  • Optimize resources, services, and costs continuously.
Requirements:
  • Experience in provisioning, monitoring, and operating infrastructure in AWS and hybrid environments.
  • At least one successful established project in AWS Cloud in your recent past.
  • Strong knowledge of maintaining Linux systems and services, as well as network devices in on-premise environments.
  • Good knowledge of Linux and a profound understanding of network protocols such as HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP.
  • Experience in using Terraform (and Terragrunt desirable).
  • A 'Team player' attitude and willingness to become an ops expert in a Scrum development team.
  • Good English Skills, as this is our team language.
  • Desirable: organizational Information security skills (NIS-2, ISO-27001).
  • Nice to have: Knowledge of Azure and GCP provisioning & experience in Kubernetes.
