Your Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of risk structuring managers and coordinate a cross-functional team to steer the risk appraisal process.
  • Focus on consequential and significant risks to shareholder value, linking capital allocation and budgeting decisions to identified risk capital needs.
  • Facilitate the understanding and modeling of long-term strategic risks across the portfolio to gain an adequate quantification of the risk capital requirements and associated costs for the implementation of corporate strategies.
  • Accompany the investment appraisal process by consulting with key decision makers and project managers on financial/strategic decisions.
  • Identify, measure, report, and manage key risk indicators for long-term group exposure.
  • Proactively manage portfolio complexities and non-linear risks associated with expanding the renewables business and integrating flexibility products.
  • Communicate effectively across various committees and advise on relevant decision making within Uniper's Risk management community and other governance bodies.

Your Profile

  • University degree in business, finance, economics, mathematics, or related field.
  • 7+ years' experience in risk/asset management or trading within an investment bank or energy trading company.
  • Proven expertise in quantitative risk methodologies, stress testing, and risk framework development.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate in cross-functional teams and manage projects.
  • Strong team player with experience of working in an international and multicultural team.
  • Excellent communication skills across various hierarchical levels in the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving, creative mindset, and analytical skills.
  • Risk or financial certifications (e.g. MBA, FRM, CFA,...) are highly considered.
