Ambu Innovation is on the lookout for a Lead Mechanical Innovation Engineer to enhance our Industrialization Department.
Our team comprises a variety of skilled engineers, each bringing unique expertise, united by the goal of designing mechanical solutions for our healthcare products.
As a Mechanical Innovation Engineer, you will leverage your knowledge to bolster our team and actively contribute to our product development initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will encompass:
Comprehensive product development for healthcare solutions, guiding projects from initial concept through to market introduction, as part of a dedicated team. Ownership of mechanical design, with an emphasis on material selection in polymers, ensuring quality factors such as durability, cost efficiency, sustainability, and safety in medical applications. Converting technological ideas into fully operational prototypes ready for testing and process evaluation, along with necessary documentation. Guaranteeing that products or components are designed for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA). Partnering with suppliers to ensure component quality meets regulatory standards and established benchmarks. Engaging in an international collaboration with development teams across various countries, as well as external partners, end-users, healthcare professionals, and research institutions.Ideal Candidate Profile

Possess over a decade of experience as a Mechanical Innovation Engineer, particularly with a focus on plastic technologies and a robust understanding of polymer materials and their applications. Have hands-on experience in mechanical design tailored to the requirements of plastic applications and processing techniques, showcasing a solid grasp of Injection Moulding, Extrusion processes, Adhesive bonding, or similar technical areas.Additional advantageous qualifications include:
Extensive experience in collaborating with suppliers and manufacturing entities. A methodical approach to work complemented by creative problem-solving skills.
