Your Role

As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Traveling to customer sites for hands-on troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to drives, PLCs, sensors, valves, and basic mechanical and process problems.
  • Collaborating with internal and external teams to assist customers in resolving technical issues.
  • Clarifying and documenting causes of machine breakdowns, assessing damage, and determining corrective actions.
  • Evaluating the technical condition of equipment and systems, providing preventive maintenance advice to customers when necessary.
  • Promoting service products, including modifications, spare parts, field services, training, audits, maintenance, and overhauls.
  • Ensuring timely creation and submission of reports upon task completion.
  • Overseeing the installation and commissioning of blown film lines.
Your Profile

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A diploma or degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering or be a certified electrician.
  • Experience in field service or maintenance, ideally with blown films or similar plastic processing machinery.
  • Proficiency in understanding, reading, and writing in both English and the local language.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, maintaining composure and clarity when interacting with customers in stressful situations.
  • Ability to read and comprehend electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic diagrams.
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and testing machine modules.
  • Strong understanding of PLCs, drives, and sensors from major manufacturers such as ABB and Siemens.
  • Ability to read and interpret PLC code.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Systematic approach to problem-solving.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
  • Proactive individual committed to continuous learning and professional development.
