Senior Project Manager - Control and Protection HVDC

About the Role

As a Senior Project Manager at Siemens Energy, you will play a key role in the development and execution of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission systems. Your expertise in project management and technical knowledge of converter technology, high voltage technology, and control technology will be essential in leading and managing offers and projects for Control & Protection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support customers in transitioning to a more sustainable world by developing impactful solutions for real global issues.
  • Lead and manage offers and projects for Control & Protection regarding time, financials, and quality.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, partners, and customers.
  • Manage customer expectations and conclude projects to the satisfaction of the customer.

Requirements

  • University degree in electrical engineering, electrical power engineering, or comparable with a standard duration of > 4 years.
  • Several years of professional experience as well as experience in project management.
  • Technical knowledge in the areas of converter technology, high voltage technology, and control technology. Knowledge of HVDC technology and plant engineering are ideal.
  • Fluency in both spoken and written German and English.
  • Well-structured personality with great communication skills and willingness to drive for efficient win-win situations.
  • Initiative to actively seek opportunities for cost reduction and to manage claims and opportunities effectively.
