Field Service Engineer for Optical Systems

Your Role

  • Oversee the commissioning of advanced mask inspection systems and support the installation and integration of intricate systems at client locations.
  • Deliver exceptional customer support for photolithography products utilized by end users.
  • Evaluate and implement suitable solutions from various service scenarios, including component replacements, adhering to internal process guidelines.
  • Conduct device calibration and comprehensive commissioning of complex subsystems, encompassing electronics, mechanics, mechatronics, EUV optics, vacuum technology, and robotics, while taking full responsibility for service operations.
  • Provide expert advice and assistance to clients regarding service and commissioning inquiries.
  • Innovate technical solutions for new service initiatives, participating in drafting, co-development, evaluation, and testing processes.
  • Actively contribute to defining serviceability during the development of new products and ensure successful implementation.
  • For quality assurance, generate documentation related to service operations and processes, evaluate, and execute necessary modifications.
  • Design training materials, create relevant documentation, and facilitate training sessions.

Your Profile

  • Possess a master's degree in optics or mechatronics, complemented by 3-5 years of relevant experience in optics or precision mechanics.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills in assessing the dynamic behavior of mechanical systems, with at least a foundational knowledge of Matlab.
  • Exhibit a high level of customer focus, along with a commitment to flexibility regarding working hours.
  • Willingness to travel globally for client engagements, sometimes on short notice, including extended periods during installation phases and potential shift work.
  • Be a proactive self-starter with a practical approach and assertiveness.
  • Possess proficient written and spoken English communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities.
