Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Assistant to join our Machine Learning for Simulation Science group at the Universität Stuttgart. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects, collaborating with our team to develop innovative solutions for complex problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and development of neural surrogate models for solving partial differential equations (PDEs) using machine learning techniques.
- Extend our existing research code base by incorporating new modules and algorithms.
- Conduct experiments on our GPU cluster to optimize model performance.
- Collaborate with our team to design and implement new research projects.
- Develop and maintain documentation for research projects.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and techniques.
- Basic knowledge of PyTorch (or another ML framework).
- Experience with executing experiments on a GPU cluster.
- Competency in English or German.
- Enrolled as a student at the Universität Stuttgart.
