About the Role:

Technical Sales Designer/Estimator (m/w/d) - Wood System Construction

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Sales Designer/Estimator to join our team at Geiger Gruppe. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing expert technical sales support to our customers in the wood system construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain quotes from suppliers: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to obtain competitive quotes for our customers.
  • Calculate and prepare offers in ITWO: Utilize our IT system to calculate and prepare detailed offers for our customers, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Feasibility check of projects: Collaborate with our planning, project management, and customer teams to conduct feasibility checks on projects, ensuring they meet our customers' needs and expectations.
  • Technical clarification with the planning department: Provide technical support to our planning department, ensuring that our customers' requirements are met and that our projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Processing and calculation of tenders: Develop and manage tenders for our customers, ensuring that they are accurate, complete, and meet our customers' requirements.
  • Preparation of construction and performance specifications: Develop and prepare detailed construction and performance specifications for our customers, ensuring that they meet our customers' needs and expectations.
  • Organization and structuring of processes: Develop and implement efficient processes for managing preliminary projects, ensuring that our customers' requirements are met and that our projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Consultation with municipal customers and public clients: Provide expert technical sales support to our municipal customers and public clients, ensuring that their requirements are met and that our projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Preparation of offers in collaboration with the customer: Collaborate with our customers to develop and prepare detailed offers, ensuring that they meet our customers' needs and expectations.
  • Review, maintenance, and adjustment of sales lists and data: Maintain and update our sales lists and data, ensuring that they are accurate and up-to-date.
Requirements:
  • Completed technical degree: A completed technical degree in a relevant field, such as civil engineering specializing in timber construction/wood technology or a completed training in the wood industry with further training to become a master/technician (m/f/d).
  • Independent and goal-oriented way of working: A proven ability to work independently and goal-oriented, with a strong focus on delivering results.
  • Strong communication skills and organizational talent: Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with our customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Proficient in MS Office: Proficiency in MS Office, with a strong focus on Excel and Word.
  • Experience in the ITWO calculation program: Experience in the ITWO calculation program is desired but not mandatory.
