In this pivotal role, you will oversee all facets of quality, health, safety, and environmental strategies across our organization and the European division. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal regulations while fostering the development and implementation of best practices that cultivate a safe workplace and promote a culture aimed at zero accidents.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and professionally nurture your QHSE Team and members of the Division Europe Management Team, equipping them with training on best practices, Nordex QHSE processes, and guidance towards achieving set objectives. Drive the standardization of processes, performance metrics, and a proactive culture within the division, ensuring that Division Europe’s requirements, processes, and procedures align with global standards and facilitate their implementation across regions. Foster collaboration and alignment with all stakeholders across regions and Headquarters, participating as a member of the Nordex HSE Leadership Team and the Division Europe Management Team. Continuously enhance our approach to HSE in close partnership with management, employees, and their representatives. Advocate for a zero-accident culture and implement global HSE awareness initiatives within the Division Europe regions, supplementing with division-specific materials as necessary. Ensure timely and accurate HSE reporting from regions/countries, including hours worked, incidents, waste management, energy consumption, and sustainability metrics. Oversee quality assurance processes in the regions, ensuring compliance with the standards set by Corporate Quality Management.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

A university degree in engineering, environmental science, occupational health and safety, or a related discipline. Over 10 years of professional experience in the wind industry or a similar sector with relevant QHSE requirements. Demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity managing quality, health, safety, and environmental programs. Completion of training as a safety specialist is desirable. Strong analytical skills, intrinsic motivation, and a results-driven mindset. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of effectively engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels. A self-initiated and independent working style, exhibiting ownership and accountability. Proficiency in English is essential, with additional language skills in German or Spanish considered an advantage.
