The Career Development Specialist will be responsible for delivering employability and life skills training to inmates, as well as administering and interpreting assessments. This will include training on the Compass 100 hybrid curriculum and Thinking for a Change. The Specialist will also provide cell-front instruction for eligible participants in restrictive housing and lead small group sessions for those not in restrictive housing. Additionally, the Specialist will maintain accurate records of attendance, program enrollments, and completions.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess an Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university or a high school diploma and two years of professional experience in the social services or corrections field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry is also required. Preference will be given to candidates with an Associate's Degree and one year of experience in the social services or corrections field.
