About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Service Manager to join our team at Outokumpu Nirosta GmbH. As an IT Service Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our IT Insourcing Project, which aims to transform our IT operations and improve the quality of our development efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Management: Oversee daily operational tasks, ensuring services are running smoothly and efficiently, while preparing and managing service budgets.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Keep a close eye on service performance, providing regular reviews and reports to ensure all targets are met.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively seek and implement efficiency improvements, harmonization, and rationalization within your service area.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners, chairing the Change Advisory Board (CAB) and leading site service meetings.
  • Compliance and Governance: Manage licenses and 3rd party service contracts, maintain service documentation, and ensure the accuracy of the service structure and ITSM System & Configuration Database.
  • User Experience: Work towards improving business satisfaction and end-user experience, ensuring the services provided meet the needs of the organization.
  • Project Management: Take charge as a project manager for small projects at your site or within your service area.
  • Cyber Security and Lifecycle Management: Focus on cyber security improvements and IT system lifecycle management to ensure the resilience and reliability of services.
Requirements
  • Education: An academic degree or equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in IT Service Management.
  • Certifications: ITIL Foundation certification and experience with Project Management methodologies.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in German and English, both spoken and written.
  • Skills: An analytical approach with proven proactive skills in continuous improvement, ability to build trust and respect through excellent cooperation and communication skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in vendor management and IT budgeting, familiarity with service performance monitoring and reporting tools, experience in the manufacturing industry.
