Desktop Engineer

Job Summary:

Iron Systems is seeking a highly skilled Desktop Engineer to join our team. As a Desktop Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's desktop infrastructure, ensuring that all devices are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and resolve desktop device incidents, including hardware and software issues.
• Provide support for IMAC and desk-side services, ensuring that all devices are properly configured and functioning as expected.
• Manage hard and soft break-fix services for laptops and desktops, including the installation of new hardware and software.
• Provide standard and approved hardware and software support and maintenance for desktop devices, including remote management using appropriate tools.
• Analyze service desk calls and incident data to identify potential user training requirements and automation opportunities.
• Ensure that each desktop device is installed with the appropriate desktop image.
• Monitor security profiles and anti-virus software on all desktop devices and take appropriate action in the event of non-compliance with security requirements.
• Provide VIP support for desk-side issues and serve as the point of contact for all IT-related issues at the site.

Requirements:

• Knowledge and experience with Windows 7 operating system.
• Good to have: knowledge in Active Directory and smart hands and feet support.
• Good to have: knowledge and experience of supporting MAC devices and tablets.
• Experience with service management tools, such as ServiceNow.
• Should have good expertise in EUC tools, remote support tools, MS Office, and Outlook.
• Preferable to have a good understanding of Lync, VPN, and mobile device support.
• Should be aware of ITIL processes, including incident, change, problem, and service request management.
• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a three-year college or technical school with an emphasis in electronics required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
