Hull Performance Manager

About the Role
Carnival Corporation and plc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Hull Performance Manager - Decarbonization Expert. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading company in the cruise industry and contribute to our goal of achieving net carbon-neutral ship operations by 2050.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategy to maintain the underwater hull condition and hydrodynamic performance of our existing fleets.
- Evaluate existing and emerging technologies for underwater hull maintenance and introduce them into operation.
- Engage with underwater coating vendors to explore existing and new coating solutions and develop paint strategies for upcoming dry docks.
- Coordinate activities with various departments to ensure effective paint inspections, maintenance, and application tasks in dry dock.
- Track hull performance using analytical tools and conduct in-water surveys to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Nautical Science, or Naval Architecture.
- Professional experience in ship operation ashore or on board, paired with technical project management experience.
- Desirable background knowledge of underwater hull paint.
- Excellent English language skills and good team spirit.
- Organized and structured individual with strong communication skills.
- High level of enthusiasm and curiosity for a new role in a rapidly evolving industry.
