Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the company's information security strategy, aligning it with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Design, implement, and manage comprehensive information security programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate cyber security risks and threats, including regular risk assessments.
  • Lead and develop a cyber security team.
  • Establish practical security standards, taking into account good and best practices.
  • Act as a single point of contact for all international locations regarding external inquiries about information and IT security, as well as IT compliance in the context of audits by local regulatory authorities and assessments by business partners.
  • Provide security advice to functional departments and project teams on the implementation of secure solutions.
  • Manage external security service providers and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Completed studies in computer science or a comparable IT education with several years of professional experience.
  • Knowledge of current IT security products and solutions, particularly in the cloud environment, as well as information security standards, tools, and processes.
  • Deep knowledge of common IT and information security standards, such as ISMS (e.g., ISO 2700x, CIS-Controls, BSI Grundschutz, CoBIT).
  • Knowledge of IT security laws and regulations, such as the IT Security Act and NIS.
  • Experience in managing external service providers.
  • High customer and service orientation, as well as excellent communication skills (on C-level).
  • High analytical thinking, process-oriented thinking, and team spirit.
  • Experience in accompanying internal/external security audits and regular status reports on progress are desirable.
  • Fluent German and English language skills, as well as secure negotiation skills.
  • Travel readiness (25%).
