Sustainability Manager (f/m/d)

At PAUL HARTMANN AG, we are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Sustainability Manager to enhance our team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary contact for all sustainability-related initiatives within the organization. Collaborating closely with various departments, you will oversee sustainability reporting, execute, and continually refine our sustainability strategy. Furthermore, you will manage specific sustainability projects and initiatives, ensuring our company leads in sustainable practices.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Sustainability Reporting & Strategy Implementation: Oversee the sustainability reporting processes and prepare for mandatory group-wide reporting in accordance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). Assist in the ongoing development and execution of the sustainability strategy.
  • Sustainability Performance Metrics: Create, implement, and monitor essential sustainability key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Develop expertise in specific product categories and stay informed about relevant legislation. Keep abreast of regulatory changes and funding opportunities to provide actionable insights.
  • Market & Stakeholder Research: Conduct thorough analyses of the market, competition, and stakeholders in the sustainability sector to guide strategic decisions.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Relations: Support both internal and external sustainability communication efforts. Innovate and implement new communication strategies relevant to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent qualification with a focus on economics and/or technical disciplines (e.g., environmental management, resource management, or sustainability studies).
  • Professional Experience: Initial experience in corporate sustainability.
  • Advanced Sustainability Training: Further education in sustainability, preferably in environmental disciplines and sustainability reporting.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of sustainability-related regulations.
  • Influencing Abilities: Capability to effectively influence stakeholders at all organizational levels, merging compliance with business acumen.
  • Analytical & Communication Proficiency: Exceptional analytical and communication skills, able to articulate complex sustainability concepts in a clear and persuasive manner.
