Battery Storage Engineer Job Description

Amber Renewables is seeking an experienced Battery Storage Engineer to lead the development and implementation of battery storage systems and technical concepts in Germany.

This role involves comprehensive project planning, including feasibility studies, grid connection coordination, design engineering, and providing technical support throughout the execution phase. You will ensure grid compliance and certification while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize battery storage systems and technical concepts.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to assess project viability and scope.
  • Plan technical electrical aspects of battery storage projects.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting during project execution.
  • Plan, coordinate, and retrofit grid connections for battery storage systems.
  • Support certification processes and manage interfaces for internal and external projects.
  • Ensure grid compliance and adhere to legal certifications.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related renewable energy field.
  • Experience in planning photovoltaic or energy storage projects.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency in both German and English languages (C1 or higher).
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
  • AutoCAD knowledge is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in solar PV or battery storage projects.
