About the Department

The Savings Plans domain within the Products division at Deutsche Bank TDI Private Bank is accountable for the IT project and application portfolio of BHW Bausparkasse AG. This application portfolio includes SAP-based core systems for savings and financing, partner data systems, payment transaction interfaces, connections to front-end systems, and data preparation for the bank's decision-making systems. In addition to ensuring stability and timely delivery of regulatory requirements, the domain actively promotes technological and strategic advancements in close collaboration with the business units of BHW Bausparkasse.

As an IT Application Manager, you will ensure the operation, optimization, and maintenance of applications in accordance with Deutsche Bank's policies and governance standards. You will identify solutions for any risks or issues that arise and communicate them to the relevant parties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be part of the internal team of Application Managers (Onshore / Offshore) and take responsibility for the applications within the Savings Plans domain
  • Ensure compliance of applications with Deutsche Bank policies and establish processes for maintenance and optimization
  • Guarantee lifecycle management for the applications under your responsibility
  • Support software development projects with a focus on system stability and successful transition to production
  • Organize 3rd-level application support for the domain in collaboration with external vendors
Required Skills and Experience
  • Completed university degree in a scientific, business, or technical field with an IT focus or equivalent professional experience
  • Several years of professional experience in application management and governance
  • Experience in the operation and further development of complex application landscapes within a savings bank, along with strong product and process knowledge in the German savings and financing sector
  • Knowledge and skills in IT risk management
  • Analytical skills and the ability to collaborate within matrix structures and virtual teams
  • Proficient in both German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
