Mechanical Validation Engineer

Job Overview: As a Mechanical Validation Engineer at Molex Deutschland GmbH, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our products through rigorous testing and validation processes.
Key Responsibilities- Validation Test Planning: Develop comprehensive validation test plans that align with customer specifications.
- Testing Methodology Development: Innovate and design internal testing methodologies, devices, and setups to meet product and customer requirements.
- Execution of Validation Tests: Conduct Design Validation (DV) and Product Validation (PV) tests, ensuring all milestone deliverables are achieved.
- Supplier Collaboration: Work closely with both internal and external suppliers to facilitate the necessary validation testing.
- Status Communication: Regularly update internal and external stakeholders on the status of validation testing activities.
- Database Management: Create and maintain databases for validation activities, including tracking tests and results, as well as managing a validation SharePoint.
- Test Report Review: Evaluate test lab reports from both internal and external laboratories.
- Validation Reporting: Prepare and present validation test reports and results to customers.
- Failure Analysis: Identify and document failures, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and file observations.
- Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support root-cause analysis efforts.
- Test Result Analysis: Analyze test outcomes and assess the impact of material properties, geometry, and testing conditions.
- Mechanical Load Analysis: Evaluate the effects of various mechanical load conditions on antenna components during testing.
- Process Documentation: Develop test processes and instructions tailored to specific customer product specifications.
- Technology Integration Support: Assist in the integration of new technologies within the validation lab.
- Educational Background: A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience: Initial experience in mechanical or electrical testing and validation engineering.
- Mechanical Engineering Knowledge: A solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including component behavior under various loads such as static, impact, fatigue, and thermal conditions.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in both written and spoken German and English.
- Environmental Testing Experience: Familiarity with environmental testing processes is advantageous.
- EMC/ESD Testing Knowledge: Experience in EMC/ESD testing is a plus.
- Advanced Computer Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (NX, Catia, and/or SolidWorks) is beneficial.
- Automotive Industry Experience: Background in the automotive sector is a plus.
- RF Antenna Expertise: Experience in the RF antenna field is advantageous.
