We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a master's thesis student.

Job Responsibilities
  • Design and develop reinforcement learning-based control systems for permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSMs) with offset-free tracking.
  • Evaluate the developed control systems in simulation and compare them to state-of-the-art controllers.
  • Benchmark the developed concepts at the test bench (optional).
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybernetics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience and Knowledge: Strong background in machine learning and control theory, with proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and Python. Knowledge of electrical machines is a plus.
  • Personality and Working Practice: Autonomous, systematic working practice, and analytical thinking.
  • Languages: Good command of German or English.
