Risk Assessment Engineer

**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Product Safety Engineer - Risk Assessment to join our team at Nordex Group and support our product safety efforts. As a Product Safety Engineer - Risk Assessment, you will be responsible for carrying out risk assessments and ensuring that our products meet all relevant safety standards.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Conduct risk assessments according to ISO 12100 within the product development and design process, as well as during the prototype phase (incl. field inspection)
  • Support projects with specific requirements in the field of hazard and risk analysis
  • Provide advice and support to the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) department with regard to Wind Turbine rescue plan and residual risk register
  • Advise Sales on product safety and communicate directly with customers when necessary
  • Opportunity to make a difference in the industry and ensure the safety of products

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent degree
  • At least five years of experience with product safety
  • Knowledge of European Machinery Directive and harmonized standards such as ISO 12100, ISO 14122, ISO 13857
  • Experience in the use of Safexpert software
  • Knowledge in Product Data Management (PDM) systems (e.g. Teamcenter and Windchill)
  • Knowledge in fire protection desirable
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge in Wind Energy is beneficial
  • High level of English & German, Spanish is a plus
