Senior Load Calculation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Load Calculation Engineer to join our team at Nordex Group. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting load-related tasks to ensure optimal service throughout the lifespan of our wind turbines.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Support root cause analysis for general field issues
  • Search for cost-effective solutions in a short-term manner
  • Perform load calculations for site-specific conditions
  • Document results and assessments in technical reports
  • Support certification and claims-related tasks
  • Optimize controller functions and support component design in a multidisciplinary team
  • Work on projects according to Nordex project management system
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of toolchain and methodologies based on field feedback
Your Profile:
  • M.Sc. or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering/Physics or similar with specialization in dynamics and simulation
  • 5 years of experience in similar roles/functions
  • Knowledge of recognized standards such as IEC 61400 and DIBt
  • Professional experience with aerodynamic simulation tools such as Bladed, Alaska, HawcStab, Flex5
  • Good knowledge of dynamic simulations of complex systems in industrial applications and fatigue analysis methodologies
  • Optional skills in general analysis software (MATLAB, R...), structural mechanics, and automation tools
  • Good team player with strong communication skills
  • Flexibility and dynamism in task execution
  • Fluent English; ideally skills in German or Spanish
