Material Management Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Management Assistant to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring timely and efficient supply chain operations, and providing exceptional customer service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking and reporting on stock levels, inventory movements, and discrepancies.
  • Coordinate and execute supply chain operations, including receiving, storing, and issuing materials and supplies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our customers, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring seamless and efficient supply chain operations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and supplies.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in a logistics or supply chain role, with a focus on inventory management and control.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds, with frequent bending, stooping, and standing.
