Material Management Specialist Location: Germersheim, Germany Eligibility Criteria

This position is open to:

- Current INTERNAL Local National Employees throughout Germany, including those working with the U.S. Forces in Germany.
- EXTERNAL Local National Applicants residing in Germany.

Key Responsibilities

The role requires a comprehensive understanding of supply chain regulations and policies. Proficiency in STAMIS systems (PBUSE, FEDLOG, TCAIMS) is essential for managing various logistical challenges independently. Responsibilities include:

1. **Data Management**: Input and update information across multiple STAMIS systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency. Analyze and retrieve data to address inquiries from customers and vendors.
2. **Inventory Oversight**: Manage the receipt, storage, issuance, and replenishment of diverse supplies, including technical equipment and office materials. Conduct regular audits and maintain perpetual inventory records.
3. **Problem Resolution**: Identify discrepancies in inventory and resolve issues through effective communication with various organizational units and higher headquarters.
4. **Reporting**: Prepare detailed reports on inventory levels, excess property, and supply transaction issues, recommending corrective actions as necessary.
5. **Equipment Operation**: Operate motorized material handling equipment (MHE) safely, ensuring compliance with safety protocols while managing loads up to 20,000 pounds.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

- **Experience**: Minimum of 2 years in relevant clerical or logistical roles, with additional experience in supply chain management preferred.
- **Licenses**: Valid German driver's license (class B) and forklift operator certification are required.
- **Skills**: Proficiency in office automation and strong communication skills in both English (B2) and German (C1) are essential.

Employment Conditions

This position may be filled at the C-05 or C-5A level, with opportunities for non-competitive promotion based on performance and training completion. The role may require occasional travel and the ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs.
