Field Service Representative for DCGS-A Systems

GDIT is seeking a Field Service Representative for the Distributed Common Ground System – Army (DCGS-A) to provide essential support to the US Army Europe within our EMITS program team.
Key Responsibilities:
The Field Service Representative will play a crucial role in the integration of the DCGS-A Family of Systems (FoS), ensuring seamless server and software operations, system upkeep, and offering operational assistance as required for the HQ USAREUR-AF-G2 and its subordinate units.
This position entails managing system maintenance and administrative tasks, which include:
- System configuration and modification.
- Hardware and software management, including installation and upgrades.
- System operations such as startup, shutdown, backup, and restoration.
- Database management and user access control.
Essential Duties:
- Administering Active Directory (AD).
- Configuring and supporting both Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Designing and implementing virtualization solutions utilizing VMware technology.
- Providing on-site troubleshooting and corrective measures.
- Assisting in the acquisition and maintenance of information security documentation to comply with continuous monitoring and Authority to Connect (ATC) standards.
- Analyzing system operations through various operating systems and database management systems.
- Conducting fault detection and resolution for computer systems and peripheral devices.
- Rapidly addressing and resolving technical issues with minimal oversight.
- Producing high-quality technical documentation and schematics.
Qualifications:
- Security Clearance: An Active TS/SCI Security Clearance is required.
- Education: A BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a relevant field.
- Certification: Must possess a valid DoD IAT II certification and a Computing Environment certification or any Microsoft certification.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Active Directory administration, Windows and Linux OS support, virtualization platform deployment, and system operations analysis.
- Eligibility for German TESA is preferred.
