Global Regulatory Ecotoxicology Specialist

About the Role

ADAMA is seeking an experienced ecotoxicologist to join our Environmental Safety team in the global regulatory group. We are looking for a professional with > 7 years of regulatory work experience in the AgChem area and a good knowledge of global regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise and develop ecotox strategies to achieve registrations of active ingredients and products with minimal restrictions, globally
  • Perform data gap analysis based on regulatory data requirements
  • Design, contract, and monitor ecotoxicology studies needed in the lab and field
  • Perform necessary risk assessments and write rebuttal documents
  • Contribute to the development of ADAMA's higher-tier strategies
  • Develop and maintain regulatory knowledge of global guidelines and requirements
  • Support global development teams on projects under development by providing screening and feedback at ideation and development stages in the product life cycle
  • Defend the company position in the ecotox area in meetings with global authorities, as well as within the industry
  • Actively participate in industry group meetings, e.g., CropLife

Requirements

  • A university degree in agriculture science, chemistry, or related environmental sciences
  • Ideal experience of > 7 years working in regulatory ecotoxicology
  • Experience across all areas of regulatory ecotoxicology is desirable, but a specialism is also beneficial (e.g., mixture toxicity, population modeling, birds and mammals, honeybees, aquatics, non-target arthropods/plants, soil organisms, etc.)
  • Some experience with environmental fate is desirable
  • Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills and a proactive approach
  • Maturity and ability to work autonomously and within teams
  • Strong team working capacities, but also individual confidence and decisiveness
  • Very good language skills in English (spoken and written)
  • Additional language skills would be an asset
  • Willingness to travel
