Your Role
The Digital Content Platforms division is a vital component of the Corporate IT department, focusing on the development and management of central IT solutions for digital content. This role emphasizes digital media, marketing, and language technologies, catering to all ZEISS business units and corporate functions globally. As an IT Application Engineer (m/f/d), you will serve as the primary technical liaison with worldwide accountability for applications centered on Content Creation, alongside planning and strategizing application roadmaps.
Your responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the enhancement, operation, administration, and maintenance of our application environment, web servers, and databases both on-premise and in the cloud.
- Providing 2nd and 3rd level support for the applications under your purview.
- Actively contributing to the digitalization and standardization of internal processes and projects, while also being the first point of contact for training our global segments.
- Collaborating closely with users and both internal and external stakeholders, including service providers and manufacturers, to identify optimal solutions for ZEISS.
Your Profile
- A degree in computer science, business informatics, industrial engineering, IT business administration, or a comparable IT qualification.
- Experience in content management, planning and road mapping tools (e.g., SharpCloud), and content collaboration platforms.
- Proficient in configuring and maintaining web servers (IIS, Apache, Tomcat, Wildfly, JBOSS) and databases (preferably MS SQL and Oracle).
- Extensive knowledge of application management for common SaaS applications, web technologies, and cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with service management processes in accordance with ITIL.
- Strong communication skills across various organizational levels.
- Fluency in English and proficiency in German are advantageous and enhance your profile.
