About the Role

In our marketing evolution, we have achieved remarkable growth and established ourselves as thought leaders in the enhanced rock weathering and carbon dioxide removal sectors. As we embark on our next chapter, we are seeking a visionary Head of Marketing to guide our strategic marketing initiatives. This role demands a blend of business development expertise and a comprehensive understanding of product and content marketing to navigate the evolving landscape of our industry.

Your Impact
The selected candidate will oversee our comprehensive marketing functions, including campaign management, communications, public relations, thought leadership, brand positioning, and copywriting. A critical focus will be on integrating content, brand, product marketing, and business development. With a capable team already in place, the Head of Marketing will provide strategic guidance and innovative insights to amplify our brand's influence. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, this role is pivotal in shaping our market presence and driving our innovative solutions forward.

Key Collaborations
You will work closely with Chloé, our Head of Business Development, and collaborate with Giselle, our Senior Brand & Design Strategist, who leads brand development and manages our creative team. Additionally, you will oversee Amanda, our Social Media and Science Copywriter, ensuring impactful content creation. As a key member of InPlanet, you will partner with departmental leaders, including the Head of Carbon, Head of Science, and COO, to maximize our brand's impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Head of Business Development to develop and implement the overall marketing strategy aligned with company objectives.
  • Bring a product marketing perspective to drive business growth.
  • Establish a connection between business development, product, digital, brand, and content marketing.
  • Create a communication and campaign strategy with the marketing team.
  • Define digital marketing metrics and build strong relationships with the business development and sales teams.
  • Support participation in key events within the carbon dioxide removal sector.
  • Develop a realistic public relations strategy.
  • Oversee content and copy creation processes.
  • Target key audiences through various channels, including social media and newsletters.
  • Optimize our website to enhance user experience and drive conversions.
  • Contribute to creative direction and maintain brand quality.
  • Embed thought leadership in carbon dioxide removal into our marketing approach.
  • Build and mentor the marketing team for future growth.
Qualifications
  • A strong passion for addressing climate change and carbon removal solutions.
  • A minimum of 5 years of marketing experience across diverse channels.
  • Proven leadership experience in overseeing marketing functions.
  • Experience with a variety of marketing tools.
  • A drive for growth and overcoming challenges.
  • Analytical mindset with a results-oriented approach to marketing.
  • A track record of high performance with clear goal-setting strategies.
  • Experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Strong knowledge of current digital marketing trends and techniques.
  • Experience in the carbon dioxide removal market is advantageous but not mandatory.
