In the role of Data Solutions Engineer (m/w/d) within the "Analytics & AI" team, you will establish the essential data foundations that empower Uhlmann to thrive with data-driven solutions. Your primary objective is to further develop and maintain a robust, scalable, and efficient data infrastructure. Your contributions will significantly enhance the application of analytics and AI at Uhlmann, thereby bolstering our company's competitive edge.

Key Responsibilities - Your Tasks

  • Facilitate the prerequisites for data-driven solutions, particularly by collaborating on the development of a data strategy aimed at enhancing data availability and quality.
  • Collect, process, and cleanse data from diverse sources to serve as a foundation for data analysis and the resolution of use cases.
  • Design, implement, establish, test, and maintain scalable data management systems (especially Data Warehouses) in partnership with the IT department.
  • Measure and monitor data quality, while proposing enhancements to improve it.
  • Collaborate internally and externally to identify the requirements for a scalable data architecture and work with IT on its implementation.

Qualifications - Your Profile

  • University degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with expertise in data processing and modeling, as well as handling multimodal data.
  • Deep understanding of ETL processes and data architecture principles.
  • Strong knowledge of Python or similar programming languages, along with database technologies and processing.
  • Experience in setting up services and data structures, as well as deploying on cloud platforms.
  • Aptitude for analyzing complex data issues and developing efficient solutions, while effectively communicating these to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Team-oriented mindset with experience in agile working and development methodologies.
  • Excellent proficiency in German or English.
  • High quality awareness, reliability, and independence.
