We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Staff to join our team at Leibniz Universität Hannover. The successful candidate will be part of the Urban Climate Future Lab (UCFL) project, a pioneering research initiative that aims to gain a deep understanding of the complex interplay between urbanization, climate impact, and mitigation.
About the Position:
- Conduct research in the field of landscape architecture and planning, focusing on the analysis of the climate impact of different types of urban open spaces.
- Collaborate with researchers from various disciplines within UCFL and the project lead (ISU).
- Author publications and present interim results of the doctorate.
- Participate in the UCFL research, graduate study programme, and joint activities.
Requirements:
- University degree in landscape architecture, environmental planning, or a related field.
- Profound experience in the analysis of different types of open spaces.
- Proficient in geographic information systems (ArcGIS, QGIS) and raster and vector graphics programs.
- Excellent command of both German and English languages.
- High interest in inter- and transdisciplinary exchange and willingness to cooperate.
- Passion for academic writing.
- Familiarity with (graph) databases and common programming languages such as Python or R is advantageous.
