Collections Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Collections Agent to join our Lending Tribe at SumUp. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our merchants have the necessary tools and information to repay us on time and in a fair manner.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver exceptional customer service to merchants, providing timely and effective solutions to their financial needs.
- Support merchants in financial difficulties by identifying and implementing arrears and debt management solutions.
- Handle outbound collection calls, communicating solutions and options to merchants in a clear and respectful manner.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve our products and services, ensuring a seamless experience for our merchants.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and provide feedback to the wider Lending Tribe.
- Experience in outbound customer calls and a strong analytical mindset.
- Excellent communication skills in English and German, with a minimum C1 level.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of compliance, risk, and support procedures.
- Patience, self-confidence, resilience, and a team player attitude.
