About the Role

We're seeking a highly motivated and organized Collections Specialist to join our Lending Tribe at SumUp. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our merchants have the necessary tools and information to repay us on time and in a fair and mutually beneficial manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to our merchants, providing timely and effective support to resolve any financial difficulties they may be facing.
  • Identify and implement arrears and debt management solutions, such as payment plans, to help merchants get back on track.
  • Handle outbound collection calls, communicating solutions and options to merchants in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collaborate with your team and other stakeholders to continuously improve our products and services, ensuring we provide the best possible experience for our merchants.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and provide feedback to the wider Lending Tribe.

Requirements

  • Experience in outbound customer calls, with a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.
  • Strong analytical and investigation skills, with the ability to identify and implement effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of compliance, risk, and support procedures, with a focus on ensuring a fair and mutually beneficial experience for our merchants.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German, with a minimum C1 level and strong business acumen.
  • Patience, self-confidence, resilience, and a team player mindset, with a passion for delivering exceptional results.
