Cyber Security Network Engineer

About the Role
As a network expert, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of a modern network and telecommunications infrastructure in a complex and dynamic environment. Your goal will be to ensure the reliable and resilient operation of various network, router, switch, remote access, proxy, NAC, SOC, SIEM, CSIRT, firewall, and telecommunications systems in accordance with our IT/IT Security strategy.
Your Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for the support, administration, planning, and further development of the Cisco network infrastructure (LAN/WLAN) as well as the European WAN, the firewall, VPN, and security systems.
- Analysis, design, implementation, and support of complex network and system solutions with a focus on Information Security and in cloud environments.
- Proposal of cybersecurity concepts.
- Ensure proper network monitoring of Information Security related events, collection of logs, and other relevant records and advanced processing, analysis, and evaluation.
- Recording, reporting, documenting, and mitigating operational faults within the scope of the assigned area of responsibility (2nd & 3rd level support) and coordination and service reviews with internal/external service providers.
- Taking over responsibility for Information Security sub-areas of the IT infrastructure.
Your Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience.
- Solid knowledge in the administration and configuration of LAN and WLAN networks in complex Cisco Enterprise environments as well as in the data center environment.
- Experience with cloud products and the configuration of networks, proxies, and firewalls.
- Good knowledge in Cybersecurity and on Security Frameworks.
- Project Management experience.
- Good knowledge of English and German.
